We’d Love If You Joined Simply Orthodontics
If you’re considering Simply Orthodontics as your new orthodontic home, we couldn’t be more excited! We look forward to playing an active role in your future smile. Our highest priority is making sure your visits are positive and productive every single time. Below, you can find all the information you need to become a new patient at our office. You can also find our orthodontic guarantee for every person who becomes part of our family.
Your First Visit
When you first enter the office, you’ll be met with a warm greeting from our front office team member. We will ask you to fill out a series of new patient forms if you have not already done so prior to your appointment. This helps us get to know you a bit better as well as your smile goals. Soon enough, you’ll get to meet with one of our orthodontists to discuss these goals in more detail. After a brief exam, they’ll recommend treatments that they believe will help you resolve you and your family’s orthodontic needs.
New Patient Forms
We want to make sure that we are doing everything we can to meet your orthodontic needs. New patients should never have to feel like they aren’t getting the attention they deserve, which is exactly why your first visit begins with filling out new patient forms. These documents ask you about your oral health and any problems you already have. Please take a few minutes to fill them out online before your scheduled appointment time.
The Simply Orthodontics team is proud of every treatment we provide, and that’s why each patient is offered an orthodontic guarantee with their care. Your results should last a lifetime, and to make sure this happens, we have our RETAINERS FOR LIFE program. With it, you can easily replace any worn, lost, or broken retainers up to four times a year for a small co-payment.
Simply Orthodontics is happy to work with most major insurance plans and providers since we are an insurance-friendly office! We want to make sure to discuss your benefits in more detail, file your insurance claims on your behalf, and make sure you’re getting the most out of your benefits. Saving money on you and/or your child’s care is one of our highest priorities. After visiting us, you’ll learn how simple the process really is once you give us a call today!
If your child needs orthodontic care, Medicaid can be very helpful in making it affordable, particularly if it’s intended to treat a medical issue (like a jaw problem that prevents them from eating or speaking properly). If you would like to use Medicaid to pay for your child’s orthodontic treatment, we can help. Our team is very knowledgeable and can enable families to maximize their benefits. After we give your child an exam, we’ll offer you recommendations for the best possible treatment. Then, we’ll discuss filing your claim and arranging payments that work with your budget.
Affordable Financing Available
At Simply Orthodontics, we want to give families multiple options to pay for their care, especially if they don’t have dental insurance or access to Medicaid. A great way to get treatment covered is through CareCredit, which is a low-cost option that allows for monthly payments. Instead of paying for care all in one lump sum, you can pay in smaller, monthly chunks with low to zero interest attached. This can vary depending on the type of plan you choose. Best Methods for Handling Common Orthodontic Emergencies
It’s always better to give our office a call sooner rather than later during an emergency. Just like when you need to handle a dental emergency, it’s better to be safe than sorry. When you call, we’ll get you scheduled for an appointment right away and provide advice to make you more comfortable before you arrive. Tips for handling different types of orthodontic emergencies can be found below. However, don’t put off calling our office; we’ll do everything possible to see you the same day.
Push the bracket back into place using a cotton ball or swab if still attached. Then, cover the bracket with orthodontic wax so it does not move. This material can be purchased at most grocery stores and pharmacies. Next, rinse your mouth with saltwater to promote healing of any cuts or sores. Make sure to avoid hard or sticky foods moving forward.
Push the wire flat against the tooth using a Q-tip. Cover it with relief wax, which will help if the wire cannot be pushed against a more comfortable spot. It’s also ideal to clip the wire using a pair of nail clippers, but only do so if no other option is available. Use gauze or a tissue to catch the clipped wire.
Oral Pain & Soreness
After braces have been first affixed to teeth, you will experience a small amount of discomfort for the first day or so. This is why sticking to a soft diet during this time is important. You can also rinse your mouth with warm salt water to reduce discomfort. If soreness continues for longer than that, take an over-the-counter pain reliever and get in touch with our office right away.
